Why Georgian Wine is unique

The history of Georgian Wine Culture is 8 000 years long, which is part of social and familial relations for Georgians. Wine starts with Vine, which means year long vineyard works for healthy vintage. In early or mid autumn vineyard works end with “Rtveli” - family or community harvesting, wine crafting and sealing wine in Qvevri, to keep product for selfcare fermentation over the next 9 months. “Rtveli” ends with festive celebration at Georgian “supra”.
